Dejan Kulusevski has been omitted from Tottenham's pre-season tour squad in Australia as he continues to recover from a long-term knee injury.
For a long time there were few suggestions as to when the 26-year-old would return, prompting worry amongst Spurs supporters in the midst of an already dismal 2025/26 campaign.
Kulusevski underwent knee surgery in May of 2025 and therefore missed the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign for the North London outfit, an undoubted blow for Spurs who lacked creativity for much of the term.
He subsequently missed out on Sweden's 2026 World Cup campaign in The States, with Graham Potter's side advancing to the round of 32 before being knocked out by eventual semi-finalist France.
Recent reports have suggested that Kulusevski could return to action at some stage in the first half of the 2026/27 Premier League season; a major boost for Roberto De Zerbi, who will also have the likes of James Maddison and Mohammed Kudus at hid disposal after respectively lengthy absences last campaign.

A challenge with former Eagle Marc Guehi ended the Swede's participation in the match in the 19th minute of the game, ruling him out of Spurs' Europa League final clash against Manchester United just 10 days later.
Tottenham went on to lose the dead rubber contest 2-0, and Dejan Kulusevski is yet to return after over 14 months on the sidelines.
