It has been an incredible few months for Jannik Sinner, and he made history once again when defeating Casper Rudd to win the Italian Open in Rome.
Since losing to Jakub Mensik in the quarter-finals of the Qatar Open in February, the 24-year-old has won an incredible 29 consecutive matches and produced one of the most dominant runs the sport of tennis has even seen.
Sinner underlined his recent dominance by beating world number three Alexander Zverev for the loss of just three games in the Madrid Open final - a result that saw him break another set of records.
His success in Spain saw the Wimbledon champion become the first player to win five consecutive Masters 1000 titles, as well as becoming the first player to complete the 'season first quadruple' following title wins at Indian Wells, the Miami Open and the Monte-Carlo Masters.
As expected, the Italian is a heavy favourite to win the French Open and banish the memories of an agonising defeat to Carlos Alcaraz last year - a success in Paris would see him become the third youngest player to complete the 'Career Slam'.
Before that, his 6-4, 6-4 victory over Rudd saw him complete a Career Golden Masters...
The Career Golden Masters is achieved by winning all nine ATP Masters 1000 events at least once.
Indian Wells
Miami
Monte Carlo
Madrid
Rome
Canada (alternates between Montreal and Toronto)
Cincinnati
Shanghai
Paris
Sinner became just the second tennis player in history to win the Career Golden Masters, joining Serbian great Novak Djokovic.
Incredibly, the 24-time Grand Slam champion has accomplished this feat twice - winning all nine tournaments on two occasions.
At the rate Sinner is going at, few would be surprised to see the Italian complete the achievement for a second time.
