Tiger Roll is a 15-year-old gelding who made his racecourse debut on 10th November 2013.
Given the horse he became, the career of Tiger Roll started from very humble beginnings in a lowkey Juvenile Hurdle at Market Rasen.
Sent off at 12/1 under Mark Quinlan, Tiger Roll got his career off to a winning start.
An £80,000 purchase saw him move to Ireland where he finished a good runner-up in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile for Gordon Elliott.
Despite that impressive performance, he was sent off a relatively unfancied 10/1 for the Triumph Hurdle where he came away from the field to register what would turn out to be the first of five Cheltenham Festival victories.
Initially though, things wouldn't be too straightforward for Tiger Roll.
He failed to win on his next nine starts before finally getting his head in front in a modest Beginners Chase at Ballinrobe.
It took time, but Tiger Roll eventually got the hang of the chasing game, registering a lucrative success in the Munster National at Limerick.
In March of the following year, Tiger Roll returned to Cheltenham to take his Festival haul to two, winning the National Hunt Chase at 16/1.
Clearly now a Grand National candidate of the future, he had a few starts in the early part of the 2017/18 season before rocking up to win the Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham in March.
He took to the quirky fences with ease, meaning that the National would be a logical next step.
Sent off at 10/1, Davy Russell used all of his genius to navigate the tricky course and steer him home to a very narrow success.
The huge hike in the weights he received for the win meant Tiger Roll would be limited to just three starts before he returned to Aintree for a repeat bid.
A spin round the Cross Country fences was followed up with a crack at the Boyne Hurdle where Tiger Roll would record arguably one of the best performances of his career to win at 25/1.
Quite clearly in the form of his life, Gordon Elliott's stable star would land the Cross Country for a second time, before being sent off a well-backed 4/1F for the Grand National.
Davy Russell, like 12 months prior, took over the riding responsibilities from Keith Donoghue, streaking to victory in a much more comfortable manner.
Fans would have to wait nearly a whole two years before Tiger Roll notched Cheltenham Festival victory number five of his glittering career, but it was well worth the wait.
11 years old at the time, he glided around the Cross Country Course, streaking 18-lengths clear of Easysland to record one of the most memorable Cheltenham wins of all-time.
Nigel Hawke purchased Tiger Roll from Darley for just £10,000 before making his winning debut at Market Rasen and fetching £80,000 when bought by Gigginstown.
Tiger Roll made his debut for Nigel Hawke before joining Cullentra House Stables to be trained by Gordon Elliott.
He earned a peak rating of 171 over fences after his famous 2019 Grand National victory.
Still classy over hurdles, Tiger Roll was rated 150 at the peak over his powers over the smaller obstacles.
Throughout his career, Tiger Roll earned a fantastic £1,437,256 in prize money.
