Reigning European champions Spain will be looking to add to their major tournament success at the 2026 World Cup.
Spain's record at the World Cup has left much to be desired since being crowned champions in 2010, crashing out at the group stage in 2014 and suffering round of 16 exits in 2018 and 2022.
La Roja have proved an entirely different entity since the appointment of Luis de la Fuente in December of 2022 however, winning all seven games at the 2025 European Championship to clinch a fifth major honour.
Spain boast a remarkable 73.81% win ratio since De la Fuente was appointed first team manager, losing only to Colombia and Scotland inside 90 minutes, and their chances of winning back-to-back major honours have arguably never looked so strong.
Priced at 1/5 to win Group H, where they will face Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and World Cup debutants Cape Verde, it'd come as a great surprise if Spain failed to convincingly book their spot in the round of 32.
Should they top the Group H standings, a round of 32 clash in Inglewood, California would await them, where they would face the runner-up in Group J, consisting of Argentina, Algeria, Austria and Jordan.
Of course, Spain will take nothing for granted, but their route to the round of 16 looks relatively straightforward, and even then a potential clash against the runner-up of Group K or the runner-up Group L looks favourable for the reigning European champions.
De la Fuente has an embarrassment of riches to call upon, most of all Golden Ball joint favourite Lamine Yamal. It was at the 2024 Euros where the Catalan sensation announced himself on the international stage, registering five goal contributions, crowned the Young Player of the Tournament and winning the Goal of the Tournament.
Priced at 8/1 to win the Golden Ball and 25/1 to top the goalscoring charts, the Barcelona winger is expected to shine on the main stage once again after being declared fit to start Spain's opener against Cape Verde.
After winning Player of the Tournament for a remarkable 2024 Euros campaign, Rodri is given a 25/1 price to clinch the Golden Ball following a stop-start season with Manchester City.
