Colchester winger Kyreece Lisbie is the subject of interest from both Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town this summer, according to reports.
The 22-year-old -- son of former Charlton Athletic forward Kevin Lisbie -- made a bright start in his first full season as a Colchester player, netting 11 times in League Two.
Lisbie's future has been a source of rich speculation in recent months, apparently close to signing for Reading in January and was also reportedly the subject of several bids by Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem over the winter.
Oxford have shown an interest in recent weeks but Football League World believe that the U's will have to battle a brace of Yorkshire clubs for his signature.
Recently relegated Sheffield Wednesday are one of these after finally being given the green light to pay for incoming players after new ownership brought them out of administration. Whilst The Owls still have to follow a transfer plan, an American consortium involving David and Michael Storch along with Tom Costin can afford to be ambitious after avoiding a 15-point deduction.
Wednesday have been linked with a move for former midfielder Barry Bannan and reinforcements are needed if Henrik Pedersen is to mastermind an immediate return to the Championship.
However, Huddersfield are another side aiming to return to the second tier and have identified Lisbie as a potential signing.
The Terriers -- who appointed Martin Drury on a permanent basis following the departure of Liam Manning -- finished eight points off the playoffs last term and are 9/2 to achieve promotion this time around.
Lisbie is thought to be on the move for a gettable price this summer given he in entering the final year of his contract at the JobServe Community Stadium.
