Bruno Fernandes has been named PFA Players' Player of the Year for the first time after scooping the 2026 award.
The Portuguese playmaker is the first Manchester United player to receive the prestigious award since Wayne Rooney in 2010.
Fernandes enjoyed a record-breaking campaign for the Red Devils as he broke the record for most assists in an individual Premier League campaign, providing a total of 21 to surpass the previous landmark figure of 20 which was held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
The United captain also scored nine goals and his exploits inspired a revival under Michael Carrick as the club surged up the Premier League table to finish third and secure a return to the UEFA Champions League.
The 31-year-old adds the PFA Players' Player of the Year to the FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season accolades he collected earlier this year.
Fernandes has also been voted United Players' Player of the Year for the last two seasons.
Fernandes was the sole Manchester United representative shortlisted for the prestigious award.
Premier League champions Arsenal were best represented with Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and David Raya all receiving a nomination. The trio all featured in the PFA Premier League Team of the Season.
The other two nominees were Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki.
Haaland is a previous winner of the PFA Players' Player of the Year having claimed the gong in 2023 following an exceptional debut season where he netted 36 goals. It speaks volumes that the Norwegian was overlooked in a campaign where he scored 27 and registered eight assists.
