Richarlison has been left out of Tottenham's squad for the 2026/27 Premier League season with the Brazilian expected to leave North London imminently.
Spurs submitted their finalised Premier League squad list, which requires a minimum of 17 home-grown players. For the purposes of the Premier League, a home-grown player is classed as one who has been registered with an English or Welsh club for three full seasons or 36 months prior to turning 21.
Tottenham's 17 non-home-grown players are: Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, Xavi Simons, Destiny Udogie, Sandro Tonali, Savio, Mateus Fernandes, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Omar Marmoush, Pedro Porro, Mykhailo Mudryk, Rodrigo Bentancur, Antonin Kinsky, Micky van de Ven and Martin Dubravka.
Richarlison released a statement as the transfer entered its closing stages, hinting he wanted to leave to join former club Everton, but a move never materialised.
Reports suggest that Richarlison was informed prior to the transfer deadline that he wouldn't be registered, allowing him to pursue opportunities elsewhere, and although the English window has now closed, others remain open.
The Turkish transfer window remains open, and it is thought the Brazilian may join Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor.
Richarlison was signed by Tottenham for £50m + £10m ahead of the 2022/23 season, scoring 27 Premier League goals in his four seasons in North London.
The decision leaves Roberto De Zerbi with Dominic Solanke and Omar Marmoush as his centre forward options, with Marmoush unable to play against parent club Manchester City this season ahead of his move being made permanent next summer.
