Rangers have a battle on their hands to keep hold of midfielder Nicolas Raskin in the summer transfer window.
Atalanta and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old in recent weeks, and Bologna are reportedly the latest club to throw their hat in the ring for the Belgium international.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira took to X to state that "Bologna have shown interest in Rangers FC’s midfielder Nicolas Raskin", adding that first talks have already started.
The Gers man is currently representing Belgium at the 2026 World Cup -- starting in their goalless draw with Iran -- and it remains to be seen whether a potential exit could materialise over the course of the tournament or after it's conclusion.
Raskin joined the Glasgow outfit for a reported £1.5m in January 2023, and it didn't take long for the new addition to become a fan favourite on the Ibrox terraces.
Renowned for his tenacity and proactive nature, the Belgian has barely left the starting XI since joining the club, but it's fair to say that he -- amongst other leading Rangers players -- have suffered from a lack of stability in recent years.
The arrival of Derek McInnes marks the Gers' sixth permanent managerial appointment since the departure of Steven Gerrard in November 2021 -- making up 36.6 % of their managerial appointments since the club was founded in 1872.
A lack of certainty, combined with a more recent silverware drought, is bound to bring about reports that players are keen to explore a move elsewhere, and -- even though Raskin hasn't announced his desire to leave -- interest in the midfielder is undoubtedly ramping up.
Bologna's interest has prompted suggestions from Rangers supporters that they should explore a swap deal for Lewis Ferguson, who is enjoying an impressive World Cup campaign with Scotland.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who spent four years in the Rangers academy and is a lifelong supporter of the club, is the son of Derek Ferguson and nephew to Barry Ferguson -- two former Gers players.
It's yet to be seen as to whether Rangers wish to sanction a sale for Raskin, or if they have any interest in bringing Ferguson to the club in return, but reports are expected to ramp up as the transfer window progresses.
