England head to the subcontinent where they will face Pakistan and Sri Lanka in an ODI Tri-Series this month.
Brendon McCullum's men were last in action at the end of September where an emphatic victory against Sri Lanka saw them win their sixth consecutive white-ball series.
They will now face-off Sri Lanka again, along with Pakistan in an ODI campaign that gets underway in Rawalpindi on Sunday 18th October.
England have already named their squad for the four -- potentially five if they make the final -- upcoming 50-over games, led by skipper Harry Brook.
Star quick Jofra Archer is rested after a long summer and he is replaced by Henry Crocombe, who is fresh off the back of receiving a two-year central contract from the ECB. Jos Buttler will also miss out as he is set to undergo surgery on a hamstring injury he picked up against Sri Lanka; Jordan Cox the likely beneficiary in his absence.
Jacob Bethell is also missing as he continues to recover from an injury that kept him out for the vast majority of the summer.
Although the Test side are in complete disarray, Pakistan's white-ball squads have performed with credit of late, getting the better of Australia in their most recent ODI series and defeating Sri Lanka over three T20Is.
Shaheen Shah Afridi leads the 50-over side and is boosted by the inclusion of arguably Pakistan's greatest-ever ODI batter, Babar Azam.
Having failed to notch a series victory in each of their last six attempts across all formats, there is slightly less positivity surrounding Sri Lankan cricket at the moment. Although they have beaten both Pakistan and England in recent times, they have been thoroughly outplayed on many occasions.
Avishka Fernando has been recalled to the squad in place of Charith Asalanka, whose return to the national setup proved to be extremely brief.
