The first NFC West showdown between Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers takes place on Sunday as the two teams meet at Lumen Field in Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season.
Kyle Shanahan's team are top of the division after a fine 4-0 start, but reigning champions Seattle are hot on their heels with a 3-1 record.
The two teams met three times last season, with Seattle recording a 41-6 win during the playoffs, but a close battle is expected this weekend.
Best Bet - San Francisco 49ers +3.5 @ 100/119
Alternative Bet - Under 46.5 points @ 10/11
Bet Builder - Brock Purdy over 222.5 passing yards, George Kittle over 51.5 receiving yards, Emanuel Wilson over 17.5 rushing attempts, Jaxon Smith-Njigba over 93.5 receiving yards @ 35/4
Best Bet: San Francisco 49ers +3.5 @ 100/119
The 49ers are only one of three teams with a perfect record after four weeks, yet they are considered the outsiders for this clash.
Only the Buffalo Bills have scored more points than the 49ers this season per game, with San Francisco averaging 30.5.
Seattle's resolute defence is bound to make life harder for them, but San Francisco have the extra motivation after last year's disappointment.
The 49ers have kept quarterback Brock Purdy upright all season and he has yet to take a sack and there is just a lot to like about how they have played so far this season.
Seattle have been pushed close by the Los Angeles Chargers in a 30-23 win and they lost 33-31 to the Washington Commanders. They have been far from perfect and it is hard to pass on the 49ers on the spread.
Alternative Bet: Under 46.5 points @ 10/11
The two regular-season meetings last season finished 3-13 and 13-17 and another close game is expected.
Seattle are conceding the fewest yards on defence with 246.8, while San Francisco are seventh in that category with 308.8.
Both teams will be desperate to keep things tight and play error-free football in such a huge divisional matchup, so expect a low-scoring affair.
Brock Purdy over 222.5 passing yards
George Kittle over 51.5 receiving yards
Emanuel Wilson over 17.5 rushing attempts
Jaxon Smith-Njigba over 93.5 receiving yards
Pays @ 35/4
Seattle will give the 49ers more problems than other defences, but the 49ers have been so consistent at protecting Purdy.
Purdy has thrown for 200 yards in every game and has 1,007 through four games.
His main target will be tight end George Kittle, who looks rejuvenated despite rupturing his Achilles last season. Kittle has 70 receiving yards or more in three consecutive games and he should once again lead the 49ers' passing attack.
Seattle have several injuries at running back, meaning Emanuel Wilson is carrying the workload. He has 21 rushes in two of his last three outings and should have another busy night at the office.
Wilson's team-mate Jaxon Smith-Njigba should have his usual productive night. He is widely regarded as one of the very best receivers in the game and has 481 receiving yards in four appearances, surpassing 120 on three occasions.
