The New York Knicks were in full control of the NBA Finals Series after winning the first two games on the road but the San Antonio Spurs fought back in Game 3 and the momentum may have shifted.
The Knicks were deserved winners in Game 1 but the second game was far closer and in truth the Spurs were unfortunate not to level matters before this pair of games in New York.
The Spurs led by 11 points at the end of the first quarter but the Knicks were ahead at half-time. In the second half San Antonio regained the lead and survived a late rally from the Knicks to keep their NBA title hopes alive.
Best Bet - San Antonio Spurs Money Line @ 11/10
Alternative Bet - OG Anunoby over 2.5 threes made @ 7/5
Bet Builder - OG Anunoby over 2.5 threes made, Victor Wembanyama over 27.5 points, Julian Champagnie over 9.5 points, Karl-Anthony Towns under 11.5 rebounds @ 12/1
Best Bet: San Antonio Spurs Money Line @ 11/10
After losing the first two games there were concerns that San Antonio could be brushed aside by a rampant New York Knicks outfit but their Game 3 performance suggests there is still plenty of life left in this series.
The Spurs were the better team during the regular season as they posted a superior record in a tougher Western Conference, but the Knicks were able to build form and a huge 11-game winning run coming into the Finals.
They eventually reached 13 successive victories, the joint second longest playoff winning streak in a single season, but the Spurs managed to snap that streak and that could be a pivotal moment in this series.
San Antonio have already had to battle back in the playoffs as they were behind in both of their series against Minnesota and Oklahoma City Thunder but managed to come through.
They have played more games than the Knicks during the postseason but fatigue doesn’t seem to be an issue just yet and they are now the team in the ascendancy, they can level the series at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday and ensure these teams go back to San Antonio level at 2-2 for Game 5.
Alternative Bet: OG Anunoby over 2.5 threes made @ 7/5
Alongside Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby starred for the Knicks despite the defeat in Game 3 and he can make another big contribution on Wednesday night.
Anunoby is a previous championship winner having landed the top prize with Toronto Raptors back in 2019, and he has raised his levels in this Finals Series.
The 28-year-old hit three three-pointers from seven attempts in Game 3, including an incredible effort on the turn in the dying seconds under extreme pressure. Anunoby has shot at least 40% in from deep in every game of this series and has eight threes in total, he looks capable of over 2.5 threes in Game 4.
OG Anunoby over 2.5 threes made
Victor Wembanyama over 27.5 points
Julian Champagnie over 9.5 points
Karl-Anthony Towns under 11.5 rebounds
Pays 12/1
San Antonio talisman Victor Wembanyama stepped up in Game 3 with 32 points and he can make another big contribution at MSG on Wednesday.
San Antonio’s Julian Champagnie had a low-key game by his own standards in Game 3 but he still had 12 points. Champagnie has had at least 10 points in five of his last six games.
Anunoby can record over 2.5 threes, and under 11.5 rebounds for Karl-Anthony Towns completes this bet builder. Towns had 25 in the first two games but was outworked in Game 3 and only ended up with eight, he may fare better in Game 4 but 12 looks a high target for the Knicks center.
The Knicks may try and get Towns more involved in the offense/shooting on Wednesday and that would reduce his chances for rebounds.

San Antonio Spurs have trailed a series three times during the playoffs (once against Minnesota and twice against OKC)
The Knicks are 13-3 over their last 16 home games
San Antonio Spurs have scored at least 110 points in all of their postseason road games
The Knicks have won four of the last six head-to-head meetings
Once again, the only player listed on the injury report for either team is New York Knicks back-up center Mitchell Robinson.
Robinson has a fractured fifth metacarpal on his right hand but was able to play in the first three games so he is expected to play in Game 4.
