The New York Knicks are on the verge of ending a wait stretching over 50 years for a third NBA Championship as they lead San Antonio Spurs 3-1 ahead of Game 5 on Saturday night.
San Antonio appeared on course to level the series as they held a 29-point lead in the third quarter of Game 4 but the Knicks somehow fought back to record the biggest ever comeback in the history of the NBA Finals.
Best Bet - New York Knicks over 105.5 points @ 20/23
Alternative Bet - Julian Champagnie over 9.5 points @ 10/11
Bet Builder - Julian Champagnie over 9.5 points, OG Anunoby over 0.5 blocks, De’Aaron Fox over 6.5 assists, Karl-Anthony Towns under 11.5 rebounds @ 35/4
Best Bet: New York Knicks over 105.5 points @ 20/23
The New York Knicks showed incredible resilience to overturn a huge deficit in Game 4 and after winning the first two games of this series in San Antonio there is obviously a temptation to back them in the Money Line at 33/20 in Game 5.
However, the Spurs may not be done just yet and they have responded a number of times over the course of this postseason. They were behind in their series against Minnesota Timberwolves and twice against Oklahoma City Thunder, so we may be treated to another game at Madison Square Garden.
The best angle is backing the Knicks to score over 105.5 points as they have been exceptional at closing out series in the playoffs. In their final game against Atlanta Hawks they scored 144 points, against the Philadelphia 76ers they had 140 and against the Cleveland Cavaliers they had 130.
This may not be the game where the Knicks secure the championship but that is obviously the aim and they could reach the required 106 points even in defeat to San Antonio.
Alternative Bet: Julian Champagnie over 9.5 points @ 10/11
The Spurs need to respond as a team and on a personal level we should expect a better showing from Julian Champagnie, who recorded just five points in Game 4 as he shot just 1-7 from three-point range.
That was Champagnie’s lowest points total of the series but he’s capable of reaching double figures when the Knicks visit Texas for the third time of the Finals.
Champagnie averaged 11.1 points per-game in the regular season and is averaging the same figure in the playoffs, he’s also scored at least 10 points in eight of his last 12 games.
San Antonio forward Champagnie is averaging over 11 points per-game in the NBA Playoffs and he can reach at least 10 in Game 5, while team-mate De’Aaron Fox can produce over 6.5 assists.
Fox has had at least seven assists in each of the last two games and is averaging 6.3 per game for the series. He’s also averaged over six assists in three of the Spurs’ four postseason series so far.
OG Anunoby has been incredible for the Knicks in the Finals Series and he hit an outrageous seven threes in the Game 4 comeback. Anunoby has also been playing his part defensively with six blocks and he can record at least one on Saturday.
Karl-Anthony Towns has only had 18 rebounds across the last two games and has had fewer than 11 in three of his last five games stretching back to the Conference Finals. Under 11.5 rebounds looks the best bet for the Knicks center.

Both of these teams have been at full strength for the NBA Finals series but the Spurs now have a concern for Game 5. Back-up center Luke Kornet has been added to their injury report due to illness.
Mitchell Robinson has been listed for New York Knicks for every game due to a hand issue and that remains the case once again. He has featured in every game so far and should be able to play on Saturday.
