The NBA's annual All-Star Game is always one of the highlights of the season as the league's best players, as voted for by fans and the media alike, go head-to-head in exhibition matches and this year's offering promises to be no different when it comes to entertainment.
The side from the Eastern Conference won the 2024 edition 211-186, but things have been shaken up ahead of the 2025 renewal, with a four-team tournament taking place instead.
As has been the case in the past, three of the teams were selected via a draft - NBA on TNT analysts, Kenny Smith, Shaquile (Shaq) O’Neal and Charles (Chuck) Barkley picked those rosters - with the fourth side being the winner of Saturday’s Rising Stars mini-tournament, Team C.
We have you covered with everything you need to know ahead of the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
The Chase Center is home of seven-time NBA champions the Golden State Warriors.
It will be the fourth time the Warriors have hosted the All-Star Game and the first time since 2000.
The first semi-final is scheduled for 01.20 GMT on Monday February 17th, with the second set to start at 02:10.
The final should then start at 03:00 GMT should the earlier games go to plan.
Prior to Monday’s clashes, there is also the three-point contest, slam dunk contest and skills challenge to enjoy on Sunday, with the NBA’s All-Star weekend giving opportunities for all facets of the sport to shine.
The first semi-final will see Chuck’s Global Stars take on Kenny’s Young Stars, with a young-vs-old clash to follow as Candance’s Rising Stars battle with Shaq’s OGs for a spot in the final.
The winners of each clash will then clash in the final and bid to be named All-Star champions.
As usual, fans and members of the media voted for who should be involved in the NBA All-Star Game, with the top 24 - 12 each from the Eastern and Western Conferences - then going into a draft for Shaq, Kenny and Chuck to pick rosters from, with former WNBA star Candace Parker being the honorary coach for the Rising Stars side.
Each analyst went for a theme when choosing their squad. O’Neal stuck with the older generation of NBA players, Smith opted to reward the younger stars and Barkley going international, picking just one American.
The final side, Candace’s Rising Stars, won the Rising Stars Challenge on Saturday and will have a chance to battle their elders.

The 2025 All-Star Game will be the 74th in the NBA’s history, with the first having taken place at the Boston Garden in 1951.
The MLB had seen great success with their All-Star Game and the NBA followed suit with impressive results, drawing in an attendance of 10,094, much higher than that season’s average attendance of 3,500.
The East vs West - the overall record reads 38-29 to the Eastern Conference - format from the 1951 All-Star Game was used for every edition until 2018, when the composition was changed to adopt a draft instead.
LeBron James, whose 21 selections is the record for most All-Star appearances, was a captain for each of the draft-format years, winning five of the six matches, with 2023 seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo become the only rival to beat him in that run.
The East vs West format was reintroduced in 2024 but that has since changed again, with this year’s four-team composition marking the most radical change in the history of the All-Star Game.
An MVP award is handed out every year, with Kobe Bryant and Bob Pettit the only players to have won that honour four times.
Over the course of the weekend there will be performances from former basketball player LiAngelo Ball and Grammy-winner H.E.R.
Bay Area native DJ Cassidy, as well as rappers E-40, Too $hort, Saweetie and R&B group En Vogue, are set to perform at half-time in the All-Star Game final.
