The stage is set for an intriguing first Manchester derby of the season as Manchester United and Manchester City lock horns at Old Trafford.
This fixture was the first of Michael Carrick's successful audition as Red Devils manager as United dominated City and ran out 2-0 winners back in January.
Since being given the job on a permanent basis, Carrick has endured an indifferent set of results - losing at Hull City, beating Ipswich Town and conceding a late equaliser at Everton.
City will be playing a first Manchester derby without Pep Guardiola since 2016 but have made an impressive start to life under Enzo Maresca - winning three out of three in the Premier League and beating FC Porto in their UEFA Champions League opener.
Carrick has made three changes in all from their midweek UEFA Champions League opener, with Diogo Dalot and Harry Maguire coming in for Noussair Mazraoui and Leny Yoro, while Marcus Rashford returns to the starting line-up in place of Benjamin Sesko.
A big blow for the hosts is the continued absence of England left-back Luke Shaw who hasn't made the squad.
As for the visitors, Elliot Anderson replaces youngster Ayyoub Bouaddi, while Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki both start. Duo Iliman Ndiaye and Nico O'Reilly are both on the bench for City.
