Manchester United's Luke Shaw will miss the Manchester derby but Michael Carrick has confirmed the left-back is "very close" to returning.
The England left-back missed the UEFA Champions League opener in midweek but manager Michael Carrick assured fans it was a precautionary measure after he suffered a bit of cramp in the Premier League draw at Everton last Sunday.
Patrick Dorgu will fill in at left-back in the Manchester derby and speaking before the game, Carrick said: "Luke [Shaw] is not quite ready yet, but he is very close."
Manchester United host Brighton in the EFL Cup and travel to Fulham in the Premier League before the three-week international break.
It remains to be seen whether Shaw will feature in either the next two games, but there is real optimism he will be fit enough to play when Manchester United host Tottenham on 10th October.
