Manchester United's Harry Maguire has been given an additional one-game ban following his sending off against Bournemouth.
Maguire was controversially sent off on 20th March prior to the international break for having been adjudged to have brought down Evanilson in the area, denying the Brazilian a goalscoring opportunity.
While the penalty was seen as soft by many, the controversy came from the Red Devils being denied a penalty at the other end for a similar challenge on Amad Diallo.
Speaking after the game, United boss Michael Carrick said: "We should have had another penalty. Obviously, if you get one, you must get the other.
"It's pretty much identical for me, two-hand grab. Either way, he's got one wrong, but to give one and not give the other, I can't get my head around it, I think it's crazy. It's a bit baffling, really.
Maguire was set to serve an automatic one-match ban for the red card, but the England man was charged with misconduct by the FA having "acted in an improper manner and/or abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the fourth official following his dismissal."
The FA upheld the charge, meaning Maguire will miss United's trip to Chelsea on Saturday.
Maguire will join Lisandro Martinez on the sidelines following the Argentine's dismissal for violent conduct, with Matthijs de Ligt still struggling with injury. As such, Carrick will be forced to start Leny Yoro alongside Ayden Heaven for the Stamford Bridge clash.
Speaking on Match Officials Mic'd Up, Howard Webb explained the difference between the two challenges, saying: "They're both pushing actions, but there are some differences. Most of the difference sits around the speed the attackers are moving at.
"In Amad's case, he wasn't moving particularly quickly. There was some contact. It's a judgment call on how impactful it is.
"Evanilson is going past Maguire. It's a completely different pace, in my opinion, to Amad. Maguire desperately pushes him over to stop him from going through to score. A very clear situation of a foul."
