Manchester City, Chelsea and AC Milan are all vying for the signature of Wigan Athletic sensation Harrison Bettoni.
The 18 year-old, who made just 11 starts for Wigan last season, is out of contract in the summer, meaning that he could leave the club for a small training compensation fee.
Wigan finished 16th in League One last season, which - though a comfortable campaign - would have been wholly disappointing for the fans, who would have hoped to see a more sustained push towards the higher end of the table.
By the end of the campaign, Bettoni had made 27 appearances in all competitions, in what was a strong breakout campaign.
Pete O'Rourke via Football Insider broke the news on Tuesday morning that all three clubs are in talks directly with the player's representatives, as they look to secure one of the EFL's top young talents.
An attacking midfielder with an eye for goal, Bettoni broke onto the scene in November, scoring a brace on his debut against Rotherham off the bench.
Overall, he managed four goals last campaign, with the highlight coming in the FA Cup third round, as Bettoni scored the winner against Championship outfit Preston North End.
The Lactics have been keen to tie down one of their best talents to a new contract this summer, however the 18 year-old has turned down a number of offers from the club and now looks set to leave.
Alongside the three European giants, a number of Championship clubs are also interested in securing the signature of Bettoni, who could all offer first team football to aid his development.
Despite this, Bettoni's future looks set to be with one of the three big clubs, who would all be able to offer more money, higher calibre of facilities and loan pathways to get game time if required.
