League One 2026/27 Promotion Odds: Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday favourites

Leicester City are the odds-on favourites to secure an immediate return to the Championship by winning promotion from League One next season.

The Foxes have suffered back-to-back relegations and they will play League One football just a decade on from their remarkable Premier League title success.

Priced at 8/11 to win promotion, Leicester are also the title favourites with odds of 5/2 to win League One next season.

Leicester are ahead of Sheffield Wednesday in the League One promotion betting after the Owls endured a turbulent Championship campaign on and off the field.

Henrik Pedersen's side will head into the new season without a points deduction and they are fancied to feature in the upper echelons of the third-tier if they can sufficiently strengthen their squad.

The other team to drop down from the Championship are Oxford United but they are available at a slightly bigger price in the early League One odds for next season.

After promotion favourites Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday, Luton Town are the next most prominent team in the 2026/27 League One betting odds.

Luton narrowly missed out on a place in the play-offs despite winning their final three games and Jack Wilshere's side are expected to challenge for the top-six as a minimum requirement next season.

Stockport County also feature at the top of the betting for next season following their play-off final defeat to Bolton Wanderers, while Huddersfield Town and Plymouth Argyle will be looking to return to the second-tier.

League One Title Odds

At the bottom end of the market, Bromley are the rank outsiders to be promoted at 33/1, while Andy Woodman's side are 150/1 to win the League One title in 2026/27.

Bromley will play League One football for the first time in their history and their aim will surely be to stay in the division.

Fellow promoted side MK Dons are a much shorter price to go up as Paul Warne seeks back-to-back promotions.

The other outsiders to be promoted from League One next season include Burton Albion and Leyton Orient, who have had a poor season after reaching the play-off final the previous year.
