Liverpool player ratings from 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest

Liverpool again had to come from behind twice to rescue a point, this time drawing 2-2 with Nottingham Forest.

As was the case against Newcastle last week, Andoni Iraola's side were open at the back and were duly punished when Dan Ndoye put the visitors ahead inside the opening half an hour.

The hosts did draw level when Alexander Isak was found at the back post by Cody Gakpo on the hour mark, but a clumsy foul from the onrushing Alisson saw Forest awarded a penalty, converted by Morgan Gibbs-White.

Victor Munoz, handed a start after his efforts off the bench against Newcastle last week, excellently fired home to equalise again, with the Reds unable to find a winner.

Take a look at our Liverpool player ratings from their 2-2 draw below.

Liverpool player ratings

Alisson - 5

Crucial save at the end of the first half to keep the hosts just one behind, but clumsily gave the second-half penalty away.

Jeremie Frimpong - 5

Not good enough in possession, not good enough out of possession. Plenty of running down the right flank but not enough to show for it.

Jeremy Jacquet - 7

A huge talent that needs nurturing, and given his boss's record at developing centre-backs, Liverpool could have a real gem on their hands. Read the game well and was impressive in possession.

Virgil van Dijk - 6

A fine performance at the back but outshone by his 21-year-old partner.

Milos Kerkez - 5

Andoni Iraola will surely hope he can get more out of Kerkez having reunited with his old left-back; so much improvement is needed from the Hungarian.

Alexis Mac Allister - 5

Combative in the first half but no longer offering enough on the ball for Liverpool.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 5

A long way below his usual level; cannot be deployed as a holding midfielder as he was in the early stages, a role highlighting his weaknesses and masking his strengths. Liverpool need midfield reinforcements.

Cody Gakpo - 7

Deployed in an unfamiliar role on the right but gave a good account of himself. Excellent cross for Liverpool's first equaliser.

Florian Wirtz - 7

Endless running to find good positions and showed plenty of quality in the final third. Harshly denied an equaliser in the first half but fed in Munoz for the second.

Victor Munoz - 7

Dangerous, direct running with his pace a constant threat to the Forest back line, too often lacked end product and missed a big chance to equalise in the first half before a well taken goal late in the contest.

Alexander Isak - 5

Still looks short on confidence; a shadow of the striker signed from Newcastle a year ago. Found himself in the right place at the right time for his goal but another disappointing outing on the whole.
