Brighton have been cut from 12/1 to 3/1 to finish in the top four after a scintillating start to the Premier League.
After a promising albeit inconsistent couple of years on the south coast, Fabian Hurzeler has hit the ground running this season. Despite not having to contend with European football, the Seagulls are yet to finish higher than eighth in the Premier League under Hurzeler, but their bright start to the 2026/27 term has fans dreaming of returning to the continent once again.
It may be a perfect storm for Brighton: Aston Villa and Newcastle are in transitional years, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace will have to juggle European commitments, while Tottenham are in free-fall.
It's extremely hard to see either of Arsenal or Manchester City missing out on the top four, but Liverpool and Chelsea have shown vulnerabilities in the early weeks under their new managers, while Manchester United have been miles below the expected level after an impressive third-place finish last term.
Brighton may end up vying with one of last season's overachievers in Brighton for European football, with the Bees themselves into 10/3 for a top-four finish, but Hurzeler's men will hope their Premier League rivals' efforts abroad are enough to secure an extra UEFA Champions League spot.
Although there's plenty of time for things to change, Brighton will be hugely encouraged by their start to the season, having put four past Aston Villa, five past Coventry, come from 2-0 down at Old Trafford to knock Manchester United out of the EFL Cup and. most impressively, recorded a 3-0 win against Arsenal.
Heading into the first international break of the season, only Manchester City and Arsenal sit above Brighton in the table, and the Seagulls are 3/1 for a top-four finish, 2/1 for a top-five finish, and have been cut from 7/2 to 11/10 for a top-six finish.
