According to reports, Liverpool have launched a bid in the region of £15m for Mexico starlet Gilberto Mora, who had an impressive World Cup campaign.
Liverpool have been widely expected to be active in this transfer window, having already signed Spanish winger Victor Munoz and seen Ibrahima Konate, Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson all depart.
There has been a push in recent seasons to secure the services of the best young talents at Anfield, with Munoz, Rio Ngumoha and Giovanni Leoni all joining the Reds in recent seasons.
With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that - according to Azteca Pubuela - Liverpool have tabled an offer for 17 year-old Mexican sensation Gilberto Mora.
An attacking midfielder, who currently plays in his native Mexico for Club Tijuana, Mora has already made 12 appearances for his senior national team, having appeared for his country at all age levels.
The starlet made 54 club appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals and registering two assists from midfield and was a member of the Mexico side who won the Gold Cup in 2025.
Liverpool aren't the only club credited with an interest in the young star, with Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United also heavily linked with a move for Mora.
Alongside this, many of Europe's biggest clubs have also joined the race for his signature, including PSG, AC Milan, Feyenoord, Real Madrid and Ajax.
Following his performances on the gobal stage, Tijuana will be in a strong season to demand a large fee for their young sensation and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool's reported bid will be enough to secure the services of one of the best emerging talents.
