Leicester City v Peterborough United Betting Odds

Leicester City play host to Peterborough United on Saturday as Russell Martin's tumultuous maiden campaign at the King Power Stadium continues.

After suffering a second successive relegation last season the Foxes are still struggling to get to grips with life in the third tier, with a Reyes Clearly equaliser denying them victory against 10-man Barnsley in their last game prior to the international break.

Just two wins from their opening seven games have left Leicester 14th in League One, six points off top spot.

This weekend the former Premier League champions will look to get back to winning ways against a Peterborough United side that haven't won in the league since August.

A 2-0 defeat by Doncaster Rovers marked the end of Luke Williams' brief stint in charge, with the former Notts County boss dismissed after less than a year at London Road.

In his place the Posh have opted for the enigmatic in the form of Robbie Savage.

Savage has made waves in his burgeoning coaching career during spells at Macclesfield and Forest Green Rovers, but he faces a mammoth task to turn things around in Cambridgeshire.

The former Wales international spent five seasons with Leicester between 1997 and 2002 and he will be hoping for a successful return to the club where he won his only major honour as a player, the 1999-2000 EFL Cup.

However, his side will enter the clash as significant underdogs, with the visitors currently 4/1 to pick up all three points.

The last league meeting between the two sides came more than a decade ago, such is the difference between the two clubs' fortunes in recent years.

On that day in February 2013 goals from Davide Petrucci and Grant McCann sealed an unlikely 2-1 for the Posh, against a Leicester side that included the likes of Kasper Schmeichel, Wes Morgan, Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy.

Savage's side will need to produce a similarly impressive performance to claim victory this weekend and they will be hoping striker Harry Leonard will be able to find the net.

After a prolific 25/26 campaign, Leonard will be hoping to make an impact and is 15/2 to open the scoring and 15/8 to score anytime.
