Gary Rowett is reportedly on Bradford City's radar as they look to secure a replacement for Graham Alexander.
The Bantams are searching for a new manager following Alexander's decision to join Championship strugglers Preston North End earlier this week.
The likes of Michael Duff and Paul Heckingbottom have been linked with the job, but a new name is now reported to be on Bradford's shortlist.
Journalist Alan Nixon has claimed that the Bantams have Rowett in their sights as they ramp up their hiring process.
Rowett would provide a wealth of experience at Valley Parade having managed over 600 games in the EFL.
His more recent roles have seen him used as a firefighter after walking into tough situations at both Birmingham City and Leicester City.
He was unable to prevent both clubs from being relegated from the Championship and his managerial career has stuttered in recent times.
However, the chance to join Bradford could provide him with a new lease of life.
It was perhaps only Alexander's previous affiliation to Preston that saw him move on from a team that he had taken to the top of the League One table.
Rowett would be walking into a club which reached the League One play-offs last season and they are well placed to mount a promotion challenge this time around.
