Ipswich Town are reportedly closing in on the signings of Julio Enciso and Abdoul Ouattara from Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.
The East Anglian Daily Times have reported that the double deal is now at an advanced stage for the two players.
The signings will see Enciso and Ouattara reunite with new Ipswich manager Gary O'Neil, who spent the second half of last season in charge of Strasbourg.
Former Brighton & Hove Albion winger Enciso spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Ipswich, making 13 appearances and scoring two goals.
He was unable to help keep the club in the Premier League and he subsequently joined Strasbourg on a permanent deal from Brighton last summer.
Versatile midfielder Ouattara enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the French outfit last season, with the 20-year-old Ivorian featuring 44 times in all competitions.
The deal to sign Paraguayan star Enciso is believed to be in the region of £26 million, while Ouattara will cost an initial fee of £17 million.
It is expected that the double swoop could eventually cost around £50 million if all the add-on clauses are triggered.
Ipswich won automatic promotion from the Championship last season as they bounced back from relegation at the first attempt.
O'Neil has since taken charge following the resignation of Kieran McKenna and he has been tasked with keeping the club in the Premier League.
The Tractor Boys will be hopeful of getting off to a winning start when they entertain Sunderland this weekend.
