Hull City and Leeds United are involved in a transfer battle alongside several top European clubs for one of the hottest prospects in the French second tier.
The Tigers will operate in the Premier League for the first time in nine years next season and Sergej Jakirović will be looking to add some extra firepower in his squad during the transfer window in their quest for survival.
Leeds United ended their season in the top flight in positive fashion, losing just once in their last nine Premier League games to comfortably survive in 14th.
However, the Whites relied heavily on Dominic Calvert-Lewin during the campaign and extra attacking support will surely be on the agenda this summer.
According to AfricaFoot, both Hull and Leeds are interested in signing 21-year-old Malian attacking midfielder Anto Sekongo this summer, although the pair face competition from a host of clubs across Europe.
Sekongo has emerged as a hot prospect in the French second tier this season, netting nine goals and laying on six assists in Ligue 2 for his club USL Dunkerque.
His performances have been noted by several clubs in France, with Lille, Toulouse, Lorient, Rennes and Saint-Etienne all credited with interest.
Turkish Super Lig sides Besiktas and Samsunspor are also reportedly tracking the young Malian star.
Sekongo joined then Ligue 1 outfit Reims in 2023 but failed to break into the first team, staying for just one season before joining current club Dunkerque.
Whilst the 21-year-old may not be ready to make an immediate impact on the Premier League, the French leagues have provided transfer gems in the past, namely N'golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez, who were both sold on for huge profits by Leicester.
Despite the high level of interest in the Dunkerque star, both Hull and Leeds would likely easily afford the rumoured valuation of €4 million, and could potentially tempt Sekongo with wages in excess of that of their transfer rivals.
