A step back up to six furlongs could be the key for Velozee after a respectable run at Royal Ascot last week.
This Sioux Nation filly won a five-furlong Listed race second time out before a too bad to be true run in a Group 3 at Naas, but she was right back to form when eighth of 27 in the Queen Mary last week.
That looked like one of the strongest two-year-old races of last week on paper and Velozee shaped like she was going to have a say in the finish before getting tapped for toe at a crucial stage, then staying on late to shape like six furlongs would be ideal.
Provided this quick turnaround doesn’t catch her out, she could be the value play in this contest.
