Hearts made it three wins on the spin in the Scottish Premiership, beating Hibernian 3-1 at Easter Road on Thursday night.
The visitors took an early lead when Josh McPake got to the byline before pulling back to James Wilson, who guided his effort past Raphael Sallinger. Hearts scored a second when Laurent Mendy headed home Blair Spittal's free-kick shortly before the break, with the hosts fortunate not to be further behind.
Hibs boss David Gray rang the changes at half-time, introducing Miguel Chaiwa and Adam Mayor, with the decision paying off immediately; the hosts reduced their arrears shortly after the restart when goalscorer Mendy had his pocket picked as Mayor rifled into the top corner.
But 10 minutes after getting back into the game, Jack Iredale picked up a second yellow card, with a wonderful solo effort from McPake restoring the two-goal advantage.
