Charlton Athletic are reportedly set to bolster their ranks with the addition of former Brighton & Hove Albion winger Solly March.
According to transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke, the Addicks have agreed terms with March, who has been a free agent since departing Brighton at the end of his contract in the summer.
Rich Cawley of South London Sport added March will sign a short-term contract at The Valley.
His arrival in SE7 will provide adequate cover for the injured Rob Apter, who is set for a prolonged period on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.
March had been with the Brighton for 13 seasons and made his 300th appearance for the Seagulls in their final match of the previous campaign against Manchester United.
Playing non-league with Eastbourne and Lewes before emerging through the academy ranks at Brighton, the winger was instrumental in helping the club to achieve promotion to the Premier League before consolidating in the top-flight.
The 32-year-old made 194 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 14 goals and registering 20 assists.
His most productive campaign was in 2022/23 under Roberto De Zerbi where he produced 16 goal contributions to help Brighton finish sixth and qualify for Europe for the first time.
But the versatile wide man saw his career derailed by injury in the last two years. A knee injury in October 2024 ultimately kept him out of action for over a year, with March subsequently suffering a setback which delayed his return until March 2026.
He made four appearances under Fabian Hurzeler in the closing stages of the 2025/26 season, totalling 38 minutes.
March underwent a rigorous medical with an unnamed Premier League club this summer, but no contract was forthcoming with the former England Under-21 international forced to assess his options.
Charlton are currently 13th in the Championship with 14 points from their opening 10 matches.
