ISCO Championship Prediction and Tips

With a lot of the high-profile players heading to the Scottish Open this week, the ISCO Championship provides an opportunity for others to claim a PGA Tour title.

There is $720,000 up for grabs for the winner and the potential qualification for next week’s Open Championship is another reward for a strong four days.

The likes of Harry Hall, William Mouw, Seamus Power and Vincent Norrman have won this tournament in recent years.

American Mouw is the defending champion and will tee it up at the Hurstbourne Country Club, as he seeks his second tournament success.

Best Bet - Ben Kohles to win and each-way @ 25/1
Alternative Bet - Rico Hoey to win and each-way @ 28/1
Alternative Bet - Chan Kim to win and each-way @ 50/1

ISCO Championship Prediction

Best Bet: Ben Kohles to win and each-way @ 25/1

Texan Ben Kohles has won five times on the Korn Ferry Tour, but is still looking for his first PGA Tour success.

The 36-year-old has shown some good signs in recent weeks and will go into this week’s tournament with happy memories of 12 months ago.

Kohles finished in a tie for eighth last year after a final round 66 and goes into the tournament off the back of a brilliant effort last week.

The former University of Virginia student was tied third at the John Deere Classic after carding four sub-70 rounds in Illinois.

Rounds of 65-67-66-68 saw Kohles finish just two shots behind the eventual winner, Chris Gotterup, and collect $466,000 in prize money.

After back-to-back missed cuts in May, Kohles has seen a big improvement in recent weeks, with his third-place finish coming after a T29 in the Canadian Open and a T23 at the US Open.

Alternative Bet: Rico Hoey to win and each-way @ 28/1

Rico Hoey is another player who enjoyed his time in Kentucky last year, although it could have been even better but for a frustrating weekend.

The man from the Philippines fired rounds of 68 and 67 in his first two rounds at this event, but a 73 on Saturday and then a final round 72 left him in a tie for 34th.

Hoey shared second in this tournament in 2024, after losing out to eventual winner Harry Hall in a five-way play-off.

The 30-year-old did miss the cut at the John Deere Classic last week, after he failed to build on his first round 68.

Prior to two missed cuts, Hoey had been in decent form with top-20 finishes at both the CJ Cup and the Charles Schwab Challenge.

The man from Manila has moved into the top 100 in the world and is ranked 25th on Tour in the ‘Off the Tee’ stats.

Alternative Bet: Chan Kim to win and each-way @ 50/1

Another player in his 30s and looking for his first PGA Tour title is Chan Kim, who will see this as a good opportunity to improve his world ranking, which is currently 253rd.

Two sub-70 rounds in the first two days at the John Deere Classic helped him claim a T51 spot, carding seven threes in his Thursday 68.

Kim, who was born in Korea but brought up in Hawaii, has made the cut in five of his last seven PGA tournaments.

He led the field after round one of last year’s ISCO Championship, thanks to an incredible round of 61 - a course record that was equalled on the final day by eventual winner Mouw.

A T14 finish in this event 12 months ago should help his confidence to collect his first PGA Tour title, after winning eight times on the Japanese Tour.
