The 23rd Commonwealth Games start in the Scottish city of Glasgow on Thursday 23rd July and Team England has 264 athletes competing in the Games across 11 sports.
Of the 264 athletes making an appearances at the Games, 141 are female and 123 are female, with England best represented in the Athletics where they have 84 individuals featuring across track and field events.
Here are five starts who could flourish on the Commonwealth Games stage during the 11-day sporting extravaganza.
Adam Ramsay-Peaty (Swimming)
English breaststroker Adam Ramsay-Peaty is a true all-time British swimming great, winning three Olympic titles and smashing multiple world records on his way.
The Uttoxeter-born swimmer has four Commonwealth Games gold medals to his name, going right back to the last occasion they were held in Glasgow in 2014, and he will be one of the most recognisable names competing at the Games.
Ramsay-Peaty will be bidding for gold in both the 50m and 100m breakstroke, where he can make history by becoming the first Team England swimmer to win four consecutive Commonwealth golds.
Emily Campbell (Weightlifting)
Emily Campbell made history at Tokyo 2020 as she became the winner of Team GB's first-ever medal in women's weightlifting by claiming silver in the +87kg category.
With six consecutive European titles under her belt and the Commonwealth gold she acheved at Birmingham 2022, Campbell has established herself as one of the most successful British female weightlifters of all time and she will be eager to defend her crown when the action begins in Glasgow.
Georgia Hunter Bell (Athletics)
With Keely Hodgkinson ruling herself out of the Commonwealth Games to focus on the European Championships in August, Georgia Hunter Bell is Team England's headline act from their contingent of middle-distance runners.
Winning bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics over 1500m, the 32-year-old will be making her first appearance at the Commonwealth Games and will be aiming to add another medal to her cabinet in the 800m after claiming silver in the event at the Tokyo World Championships last September.
Kadeena Cox (Para Cycling)
One of Britain's most celebrated Paralympic athletes, Kadeena Cox is another star set to make her Commonwealth Games debut.
At Rio 2016, Cox became the first British Paralympian in 32 years to win medals in two different sports at the same Olympics, winning three medals in athletics - including gold in the T38 400m - and emerging triumphant in the cycling with victory in the C4-5 time trial.
She added to her collection in cycling at Tokyo 2020 with two more gold medals at the velodrome and was victorious again at Paris 2024, winning gold with British team mates Jaco van Gass and Jody Cundy, in the C1-5 750m team sprint.
Cox will compete in the C4-5 event with her sights set on another podium finish at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Katarina Johnson-Thompson (Athletics)
The "Heptathlon Queen" Katarina Johnson-Thompson has a target on her back as she bids for Heptathlon gold for a third consecutive Commonwealth Games.
One of Britain's most decorated athletes, Johnson-Thompson remains an inevitable force even in the latter stages of her career and the Liverpudlian showcased that with her first Olympic medal at Paris 2024 before claiming bronze at the Tokyo World Championships last year.
Triumphant on the Gold Coast in 2018 and Birmingham in 2022, victory in Glasgow will further enrich her legacy as one of the all-time greats.
