Pakistan's Test side are in absolute turmoil following defeat to England at Lord's.
The crushing 194-run loss -- their 15th defeat in 20 Tests -- was the final straw for the PCB, promptly sending seven players home and sacking both the head coach and bowling coach.
Pakistan now head to Edgbaston with white-ball coach Mike Hesson presiding over Test affairs and five uncapped players in the 15-man squad.
Of the seven sent home, five have played a part in the series so far with Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Ali Usman, Khurram Shahzad and Salman Agha all deemed surplus requirements.
In their place come five uncapped players -- Arafat Minhas, Mohammad Imran Jr, Saad Baig, Mohammad Imran Randhawa and Razaullah -- alongside Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal, who only have 10 Test appearances between them.
Only captain Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Azan Awais, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Ali are expected to retain their place in the side from the defeat at Lord's.
Saad Baig will come in as wicket-keeper and earn his first cap, with Saim Ayub and Mohammad Imran Randhawa also in line for a place in the XI. With little variety in the bowling attack, Hesson may go with left-arm spinner Sajid Khan and left-arm seamer Ubaid Shah to deliver the goods in Birmingham.
Selection for England should be much more straightforward as they close in on a 3-0 series whitewash.
With the three-match series already wrapped up and no injuries within the camp, their only consideration might be to give some of their bowlers a rest. Both Sonny Baker and Sam Cook are in the squad, but the likes of Jofra Archer and Ollie Robinson seem to have finally found some physically.
Josh Tongue's performances mean that he will likely keep his place, leaving Gus Atkinson as the potential one to make way. Of the candidates to replace him, Baker would be the likely one nominated to take his place, however, England could very easily field an unchanged side here.
