England have struggled past a dogged New Zealand side to win their first World Cup warm up match.
With just 11 days to go until their first match of the 2026 World Cup, England looked slow and short of inspiration as a first half header from Harry Kane gave them a 1-0 win against New Zealand.
Thomas Tuchel named a mixed side for the match, with a number of key stars rested and all of the Arsenal representatives unavailable.
The German made 11 substitutions at half time, changing his entire side, in a move which may have led to the disjointed display.
While this was just a warm up match, there's no doubting that England will need to be much better at the showpiece this summer, with just one shot on target in the match after their first half stoppage time goal.
