After two-trophy laden seasons, Crystal Palace have secured their replacement for the outgoing Oliver Glasner.
Despite lifting three trophies in his time with Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner decided to announce his departure from the Premier League ever-presents in January, leaving behind a legacy as one of the Eagles' all time greats.
Replacing a manager with the pedigree and success of Glasner is no easy business, however, the Palace Hierarchy have now managed to secure one of their top targets.
New Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola, who left Bournemouth this summer, was reportedly the top choice to succeed Glasner at Selhurst Park, although he never seemed close to joining the club.
Following the Spaniard's decision to move to Anfield, the attention from the Eagles immediately turned to Ligue 1 side RC Lens and their manager Pierre Sage.
Having now been officially announced as the new boss at Selhurst Park, Sage leaves behind a successful one-season stint at the French side, which saw them finish second in Ligue 1 and win the Coupe de France.
Despite the successes of the Frenchman at Lens, Crystal Palace are currently amongst the favourites to be relegated from the top flight this season, with only four sides priced shorter than the Eagles at 11/2.
With UEFA Europa League football to contend with, it appears likely that the Eagles will see a similar domestic season to last, which saw them finish 15th.
With that in mind, it's no surprise that Crystal Palace are 40/1 to finish in the top four of the Premier League next season, as they look to juggle the demands of European football for a second successive campaign.
Pierre Sage did mastermind an unlikely title challenge for RC Lens last season and - with a number of the usual big clubs changing manager this summer - the Eagles could be one of a number of clubs sensing an opportunity to emulate the great Leicester City team of 2015/16.
Despite the Frenchman's track record, Palace are priced at an extremely wide 500/1 to lift the Premier League title this season, with only four teams - including the three newly promoted sides - priced higher.
