Championship sides Derby County and Bristol City are reportedly interested in signing winger Reyes Cleary from League One side Barnsley.
Cleary arrived at Oakwell last summer as he penned a three-year contract after leaving West Bromwich Albion.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a standout campaign as he scored seven goals in 50 appearances across all competitions for Barnsley.
Cleary was heavily linked with a move to various Championship clubs during the January transfer window but a move never materialised and he stayed with the League One outfit until the end of the campaign.
The 72 have reported that Derby and Bristol City are amongst the teams who have an interest in signing Cleary this summer.
It has been quite the rise to prominence for the Birmingham-born forward in the last 12 months.
He had only made seven first-team appearances for West Brom prior to loan moves at Walsall and Hartlepool United in the 2024/25 season.
Last season saw him thrive as one of the best players in League One and he could prove to be asset for a team in the Championship.
Both Bristol City and Derby are in the market for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season as they hope to challenge for the top six.
Their chances of signing Cleary may have also been boosted by the fact that Barnsley have already completed the signing of Australian left-winger Clayton Taylor from Newcastle Jets.
