It promises to be a pulsating end to the summer transfer windows as clubs in both England and Scotland look to fine-tune their squads for the season ahead.
Over £1.5 billion has already been splashed out by Premier League sides alone with plenty more high-profile, and huge money, deals likely to still be completed over the next week or two.
But how long do the teams in the Premier League, EFL and north of the border, in Scotland, have to conclude their transfer business?
Find out below...
The 2026 summer transfer window will close at 23:00 (BST) on Tuesday 1st September, 2026, for clubs in England.
All 92 clubs in the top four tiers of English football will also be granted an additional couple of hours to complete the formalities of an agreement via a deal sheet, providing a document has been registered signalling the intent of all parties to conclude a deal.
This means any deal that is on the verge of being completed but hasn't officially been completed by 23:00 (BST) will be granted until 01:00 (BST) on Wednesday 2nd September, providing the Premier League, EFL or Scottish FA have received notification of the deal sheet from the club/s and player in question.
For the first time, clubs in Scotland will be granted an additional two days to complete their summer revamps with the deadline for signings in the the Scottish Premiership, Championship and League One and League Two being 17:00 (BST) on Thursday 3rd September, 2026.
Whilst no official explanation has been given, it's been reported in the national media that the idea to extend the transfer window in Scotland by 42 hours is to enable clubs in the top four tiers to take advantage of any players still in limbo at their existing sides on the continent.
With it being a World Cup year, it's expected that there will be a significant delay on deals being completed with more than ever expected to take place during the final few days of the window, particularly in the Premier League and Championship.
As a consequence of that, it's likely that fringe players and youth team stars hoping to seal moves away would be impacted by that, with the Scottish FA opting to extend their window to enable clubs in their respective leagues the chance to take advantage and seal late incomings.
