Birmingham City and Wolves are reportedly eyeing a move for Real Salt Lake forward Sergi Solans.
Birmingham City and Wolves are both preparing for crucial summer windows ahead of the 2026/27 Championship season, and The72 have reported that Spaniard Solans "is being eyed" by both clubs.
They added that a "fee of around £4m" could get the deal over the line, with Birmingham lining him up as a potential Jay Stansfield replacement in the event that he leaves the club this summer amid Premier League interest.
Wolves have already confirmed the return of Molineux favourite Raul Jimenez, and so Solans would be expected to provide extra competition in the centre forward department -- which also includes Adam Armstrong, Tolu Arokodare, Hwang Hee-chan and Sasa Kalajdzic.
Solans has had a unique introduction to football, moving to the United States to play college soccer in 2024 after emerging through the Girona academy.
The centre forward plied his trade for Oregon State Beavers -- where he recorded 14 goal contributions in 10 matches to earn the WCC Offensive Player of the Year award -- before making the switch to UCLA Bruins in 2025.
He enjoyed similar success there -- scoring 16 goals in 19 appearances -- and the 2025 MLS SuperDraft saw him selected as the 30th overall pick by Real Salt Lake.
He's wasted no time getting to grips with the MLS in the 2026 campaign, recording 10 goal contributions in 14 games thus far as his side sit third in the Western Conference standings.
Real Salt Like signed the Spaniard for $50,000 in General Allocation Money, and so a seven-figure sale just four months on from his debut would prove great business.
Birmingham and Wolves are likely to have a number of forward options in the pipeline however, and so it's yet to be seen as to whether a deal for Solans will materialise for either club.
