Gameweek 33 marks the biggest Double Gameweek of the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League season and a number of managers are opting to activate their Free Hit chips.
Allowing managers to make unlimited changes to their squad for a week, before your squad reverts to its previous form, the chip gives you the opportunity to maximise your points tally and gain rank.
For those who are lacking in Double Gameweek players in your standard squad ahead of Gameweek 33, which would also mean that few of your players will blank in Gameweek 34, then this appears the optimal time to activate the chip given the short time left in the season.
With that said, we take a look at the best Gameweek 33 FPL team for those activating the Free Hit chip.
Fixtures: Wolves (H), Bournemouth (A)
While Karl Darlow has been viewed as a cost-effective backup option in FPL since displacing Lucas Perri for Leeds United, Daniel Farke's side face Wolves, the lowest scoring team in the Premier League, and Bournemouth in Gameweek 33, and so the £3.9m stopper stands out amongst the goalkeepers who will play twice.
Fixtures: Manchester United (H), Brighton (A)
It's now or never for Chelsea in their pursuit for UEFA Champions League football, and you'd suspect that Marc Cucurella, who proved himself as one of the top-flight's leading left-backs in the 2024/25 campaign, will be pivotal to any success that Chelsea enjoy against Manchester United and Brighton.
Fixtures: Newcastle (A), Leeds (H)
Only five defenders have scored more points than Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi in FPL this campaign, aided by the fact that no defender has earned more points for Defensive Contributions, and it's hard to look past the Argentine as the Cherries travel to a struggling Newcastle and welcome top-flight survival hopefuls Leeds in Gameweek 33.
Fixtures: Wolves (H), Bournemouth (A)
Pascal Struijk was a top-flight regular in Leeds' three-year stay in the Premier League between 2020/21 and 2022/23, and while he struggled to make his mark then, he's been central to the club's 2025/26 campaign and looks a shrewd pick at £4.3m for Double Gameweek 33.
Fixtures: Newcastle (A), Leeds (H)
While the likes of Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer and Antoine Semenyo will be in nearly all Gameweek 33 Free Hit teams, differentials are key to gaining rank and 5.7% owned Marcus Tavernier looks a shrewd pick.
Fixtures: Arsenal (H), Burnley (A)
An essential asset at Bournemouth and an essential asset at Man City, Antoine Semenyo has been FPL gold so far this campaign. The Ghanaian has notched 19 goal contributions in the Premier League this season, six of which have come since making the switch to the Etihad, and you'd be naive to go without the £8.2m midfielder on a Free Hit.
Fixtures: Arsenal (H), Burnley (A)
Suggestions that Rayan Cherki would struggle to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League have been swiftly put to bed, showcasing his unrivalled technical ability in a Man City shirt.
He recorded two delightful assists in his side's 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last week, and in a Double Gameweek where the Citizens may come up against Arsenal and Burnley low blocks, the Frenchman's creative flair will prove handy.
Fixtures: Manchester United (H), Brighton (A)
There's no denying that we've not seen the best of Cole Palmer so far this term, and he will know that, but he has scored a combined nine goals in all competitions against Man Utd and Brighton and he'll be desperate to add to his tally in Double Gameweek 33.
Fixtures: Arsenal (H), Burnley (A)
While Erling Haaland has been nowhere near his 'robotic' self in the Premier League of late, blanking in Man City's 3-0 win over Chelsea, his record of seven goal contributions in 10 games against Arsenal and eight goal contributions in four games against Burnley speaks for itself.
He is a must-have.
Fixtures: Manchester United (H), Brighton (A)
While many put Joao Pedro's impressive 2024/25 season down to the frequency in which he converted penalties, the same can't be said for this campaign in which he's yet to score from the spot, and so 14 goals and eight assists in 32 top flight contests can't be ignored, especially ahead of a Double Gameweek.
Fixtures: Wolves (H), Bournemouth (A)
Few anticipated Dominic Calvert-Lewin reaching the heights that he has since trading Everton for Leeds, but he's put himself back in contention for a spot at the World Cup and goals against Wolves and Bournemouth could give Thomas Tuchel something to think about.
Bart Verbruggen (£4.5m), James Hill (£4.2m), Maxence Lacroix (£5.1m), Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.4m).
