Aston Villa are on the brink of completing a deal to sign Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Journalist David Ornstein confirmed the news of the imminent deal in a post on his official X account.
"Taylor Harwood-Bellis granted permission to travel, do medical & complete move from Southampton to Aston Villa on 5yr contract until 2031.
"Club-to-club agreement finalised for deal worth £30m package as 24yo #SaintsFC defender joins #AVFC."
Harwood-Bellis joined Southampton permanently from Manchester City in 2024 after helping the Saints win promotion from the Championship during a loan spell in the 2023/24 campaign.
The 24-year-old has become a mainstay at St Mary's and he enjoyed a strong 2025/26 season as he helped the club reach the Championship playoffs.
Southampton were thrown out of the play-offs following the spygate saga and manager Tonda Eckert is hoping to repair the damage by leading the club back to the Premier League this season.
Harwood-Bellis started against Watford on the opening day of the season but he has since been left out amid the transfer interest.
The England international will now be hoping to establish himself in Unai Emery's new-look Villa side this season.
