Aston Villa have discovered their UEFA Champions League league phase opponents following the completion of the draw at the UEFA headquarters in Monaco, France.
After a season away from Europe's leading competition, Villa make their UEFA Champions League return in the 2026/27 campaign with a new look squad.
The 1982 winners were knocked out of the 2024/25 edition in the quarter-finals to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain, and while they didn't look out of place against the accomplished Parisians, their league position in England's top-flight denied them from qualifying for the subsequent 2025/26 competition.
Their UEFA Champions League absence last term proved more of a blessing than a hindrance, however, as Unai Emery's side went on to win the Europa League and end their 30-year trophy drought.
Upon their return to the UEFA Champions League, Villa have been included in Pot 2 of the draw, where they have been matched against two teams from the four different pots to make up their eight league phase contests.

A huge European night at Villa Park will see the reigning Europa League winners welcome Niko Kovac's Borussia Dortmund.
An encounter with Hansi Flick's Barcelona awaits, with Belgian outfit Club Brugge also set to host Villa.
Turkish duo Fenerbahce and Galatasaray will lock horns with the West Midlands outfit, while Emery will be hoping to claim maximum points from contests against Norway's Viking FC and Czechia's Slavia Praha.
