Nick Ball will bid to become a two-weight world champion when he faces Anthony Cacace for his WBA super-featherweight title in Belfast on 19th December.
Queensberry announced details of the hugely-anticipated domestic dust-up, which will see former featherweight ruler Ball compete in the 130lbs division for the first time, on Thursday.
The Liverpudlian was relinquished of his WBA title by virtue of a 12th round stoppage loss at the hands of Brandon Figueroa in February, and has now opted to jump up in weight as opposed to seeking further honours at 126lbs.
For Northern Irishman Cacace, the fight, which is scheduled to take place just a week before Christmas, will represent his maiden defence of the WBA strap he secured earlier this year following a unanimous decision success over Jazza Dickens.
"This is one of the best fights that can be made, certainly in British boxing," said promoter Frank Warren in a press release.
You just know what you are going to get and that is a classic confrontation between two great fighters.

"This fight is about as 50-50 as you are going to get in this sport and the Belfast crowd are in for a treat."
Home city favourite Cacace previously held possession of the IBF and IBO super-featherweight belts but made the decision to relinquish the more prestigious IBF title after refusing to face his mandatory opponent to pursue more lucrative domestic affairs.
He instead put his IBO belt on the line in a hugely entertaining affair with Nottingham's Leigh Wood, which he won by stoppage in the ninth round, before beating Dickens in Dublin to secure his third title at 130lbs.
He will now put that on the line against the hard-hitting Ball who boasts a 23-1-1 record and counts the likes of Isaac Dogboe, Raymond Ford and Sam Goodman amongst the star names he reigned supreme against as a featherweight.
