Both the Chicago Sky and the Atlanta Dream are on two-game winning streaks heading into this showdown in the WNBA on Sunday at the Gateway Center Arena.
Indiana pulled ahead by a half-game atop the Eastern Conference with a win over New York on Saturday. Atlanta (15-10) will play itself back into a tie for first place if it takes care of business at home against Chicago.
The 2026 campaign has been a much different story for the Sky (9-16), who are currently better than only Connecticut in the East.
With tipoff set for 4:00 pm ET on CBS, it’s time to break down the matchup and discuss the best bets to make.
Chicago Sky vs. Atlanta Dream betting picks and predictions
Chicago Sky +11.5 over Atlanta Dream (-110)
Chicago may not be going anywhere this season, but it has been playing decent basketball of late. The Sky are coming off back-to-back victories over Seattle and Los Angeles, plus they have been competitive in the vast majority of their losses for more than a month now. They have lost by double-digits just twice in their last 14 contests.
Sydney Taylor (13.3 ppg) has been in fine form for the visitors. She has led her team in scoring three times in the last five games and has delivered at least 15 points on five consecutive occasions. Taylor is 13-for-25 from the field during Chicago’s two-game winning streak and shot 4-for-7 on three-pointers in Friday’s 96-82 victory over Los Angeles.
Despite two recent wins, the Dream are not playing great basketball. They are 3-6 in their last nine games and have not defeated an opponent with a winning record in almost exactly one month (June 20 against Indiana). Atlanta may be able to get the job done at home, but asking it to prevail by at least 12 points is probably too much.
Chicago Sky vs. Atlanta Dream Under 180.5 (-110)
A modest total of 157 points were scored the last time these two teams went head-to-head on June 9. It’s not like either team endured some kind of shooting aberration, either. Both sides shot at least 44 percent from the floor, Chicago went 8-for-15 from three-point range and Atlanta made 15 of its 16 free-throw attempts. The game simply was not played at anything close to a quick pace. That bodes well for another low-scoring affair in Sunday’s rematch.
Playing fast is not really something that the Dream want to do given that they only go seven deep. The home team does, however, boast a solid defense. It ranks second in the Eastern Conference in scoring defense, allowing 85.0 points per game.
All things considered, the under looks like the play to make.
Angel Reese Over 16.5 points (-112)
It goes without saying that Reese will be motivated to victimize her former team (she spent her first two seasons in the WNBA with Chicago). The LSU product has already done it once this year, playing like a woman on a mission in last month’s head-to-head collision. When these two teams tangled in Chicago, Reese contributed 17 points and 17 rebounds to go along with four assists and two steals.
The 24-year-old has continued to play well for her new club. Her four most recent point totals are 17, 18, 23 and 23. Over the past two outings, Reese is 14-for-22 from the floor and 17-for-19 from the charity stripe.
