After going 3-0 in group play, the USA men's ice hockey team at the 2026 Winter Olympics is in the quarterfinal round.
The US coasted their way through Group C, knocking off Latvia, Denmark, and Germany with a combined score of 16-5. Their closest game was the 6-3 win over Denmark - pure dominance from the stacked American squad.
Auston Matthews leads the team in points (five) with three goals and two assists, while goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has done a nice job in net, allowing just two goals in the two games he's played in.
After their final group stage game concluded on Sunday, Feb. 15, the USA has had time to recover and prepare for their next opponent in the elimination round.

The USA will play the winner of Sweden vs. Latvia which takes place today at 3:10 PM ET.
Sweden is a heavy favorite on bet365, with their money line at -1300, implying a a 93% chance to win the game.
USA vs. the winner of Sweden/Latvia will be broadcast on NBC on cable from Milano Santagiulia Arena at 3:10 PM ET.
