Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs secured a massive Game 3 win in front of a raucous Madison Square Garden crowd to keep themselves alive in the NBA Finals vs. the New York Knicks.
Wemby had a spectacular effort in Game 3 after coming up short in the first two games of the series at home. He finished with 32 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and three blocks while shooting an efficient 11-18 from the floor.
In the first two games combined, he shot just 17-42 from the field and 4-15 from three. He looked much more comfortable in Game 3, finishing consistently at the rim and knocking down two of his four three-point attempts.
Of course, the Spurs success goes much deeper than just their mega-big man. Stephon Castle, De'Aaron Fox, Dylan Harper, Devin Vassell, and Julian Champagnie have all averaged over 11 points in the playoffs.
However, if Wembanyama played like he did in Game 3, the Spurs could certainly win the series despite initially falling into an 0-2 hole.
