Alexander Volkanvoski puts his featherweight belt on the line against undefeated challenger Movsar Evloev.
The main card will begin at 2:00 p.m. ET and stream live on Paramount+ as the Octagon heads to Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi for the 12th time since 2021.
Having reclaimed the title in 2025 and defending it in an unexpected rematch in January 2026, Volkanovski is now looking to extend his legacy by handing Evloev the first defeat of his career - and surpassing Jose Aldo's record for the most title wins in the 145-pound division.
Evloev has not lost since making his UFC debut in 2019, but his journey to this opportunity has been a test of patience. Injuries, illnesses, and cancelled bouts delayed his progress. Although, consecutive victories including a statement win over previously unbeaten Lerone Murphy in March finally propelled him into title contention.
Volkanovski holds the edge in experience and versatility. The champion is a well-rounded striker with elite boxing skills, a high fight IQ and an impressive ability to recover to his feet when taken down. His foundation in Greco-Roman wrestling reinforces his formidable takedown defense.
Evloev presents a very different challenge, using relentless wrestling pressure to force opponents into prolonged grappling exchanges. Once he secures a takedown, he excels at maintaining positional control and wearing opponents down.
On paper, Volkanovski's striking and takedown defense gives him the upper hand, but Evloev's pressure is exceptionally consistent and could be difficult to neutralize over five rounds. After years of waiting for this opportunity, Evloev will look to turn his relentless pressure into a defining victory, while Volkanovski looks to prove that his reign is far from over.
