The UFC is organized into distinct weight divisions, each with strict weigh-in rules that athletes must meet before every bout.
Men's Divisions
Flyweight: Known for high pace, quick movement, and technical striking.
Bantamweight: A blend of rapid speed and intense knockout power.
Featherweight: Features explosive, fast-paced combinations and high endurance.
Lightweight: Is one of the deepest divisions in terms of talent.
Welterweight: A mix of high-level grappling and intense knockout rate.
Middleweight: Has a balance of size, speed, and technique.
Light Heavyweight: Known for its star power, striking, and explosive knockout.
Heavyweight: Has the most powerful athletes, and one-punch finishes.

Weigh-ins occur the day before the fight, and athletes weigh in between 9-11 am local time.
Each weight class requires athletes to weigh-in under a specific number.
Depending on who is regulating the bout, athletes who exceed the desired weigh-in number may be given an additional hour to try and lose the weight they need to meet the number.
For non-title bouts, athletes are allowed to weigh one pound above the divisions limit.
Failure to make the required weight results in the athlete forfeiting the fight and a percentage of the purse to their opponent, or making an agreement to compete as a catchweight bout.
