Thunder vs. Spurs Game 6: Prediction & Player Props

The Western Conference Finals series has gone to Game 6, with the Oklahoma City Thunder currently 3-2 up on the San Antonio Spurs.

The latest matchup comes at the Frost Bank Center, with the Spurs now hoping home advantage can help them level the series on Thursday night and stay alive in these NBA Playoffs.

Based on recent displays though, OKC look to have the edge in and around the paint and can take full advantage to keep them on course for back-to-back titles.

Thunder vs. Spurs Game 6 betting picks and predictions

OKC Thunder +3.5 (-110)

Nobody had a better record on the road in the regular season than the Thunder, who lost just 10 of their 40 games outside of Oklahoma.

Mark Daigneault’s men have already won in San Antonio in this series, with a 123-108 success in Game 3.

OKC come into Game 6 off the back of a crucial 13-point victory on their home court on Tuesday, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander firing 32 points.

The two-time MVP has averaged 28 points across the playoffs, but SGA’s display in Game 6 will be a real concern for the mis-firing Spurs.

San Antonio has averaged just 112 points during the first five games and the only time it has scored 120+ was when Game 1 went to overtime.

That run has coincided with a drop in form for main man Victor Wembanyama, whose playoff average has now fallen to 22.9.

Team Totals - San Antonio Spurs Under 111.5 (-115)

Wemby’s dip in form has come at the worst possible time for the Spurs, with the 22-year-old scoring over 30 points just once since Game 2.

Two of his team-mates outscored him on Tuesday, with Wembanyama hitting just 26.7% of his field goal attempts.

If the Frenchman struggles, so do the Spurs - highlighted by the fact that no other San Antonio star was ranked inside the top 35 in the league for points scored during the regular season.

It’s now nine games since the Spurs last scored over 126 points and with the Thunder firing over 120 in three of the last four matchups, OKC look in a good position to end the series.

De’Aaron Fox - 7+ Assists (+120)

Even if Wembanyama steps up to the plate, the Spurs will need some of their other big names to perform at a high level to stand a chance of extending the series.

One of those key players will be De’Aaron Fox, who has yet to light up the series having struggled with an ankle issue.

There were better signs though in Game 5, with the Point guard claiming eight assists and four rebounds in his 33 minutes on court. He can provide at least seven assists once again in a crucial Game 6.
