Dodgers' newly-acquired superstar pitcher Tarik Skubal will make his second appearance with his new team tonight in a matchup against the lowly Kansas City Royals.
Skubal, the back-to-back AL Cy Young award winning starter with the Detroit Tigers, allowed four hits and two earned runs in a loss in Chicago to the Cubs last week in his Dodger debut, while also striking out six batters in the process.
The 29-year-old should have an easier matchup tonight against a Royals team that ranks 23rd in runs and home runs, and 20th in team OPS. In fact, Skubal just matched up against Kansas City on July 24th and dominated in a 7.1-inning performance where he struck out 12 and allowed just one run.
He will, however, faceoff against Bobby Witt Jr. - Kansas City's elite shortstop who was out of the lineup on the 24th due to a stint on the IL for lower back tightness. He's gone 8-22 (.364) at the plate since returning from the IL and will be a tough out from the right side of the plate.
Tonight's game begins at 7:10 PM local time (PT), 10:10 PM ET / 9:10 PM CT. Here's a look at Skubal's player props vs. Kansas City, with odds provided by bet365:
