The Tampa Bay Rays, along with the Arizona Diamondbacks, are the youngest franchise in MLB, playing their first season in 1998.
The Rays have made two World Series appearances in their 28 years of existence, but things are looking up - they made the playoffs in every year from 2019-2023, and still have plenty of talented players.
The Rays last year played at George M. Steinbrenner field, primarily a Spring Training and Minor League stadium, after Tropicana Field's roof was torn apart by Hurricane Milton in October 2024. They've since moved back to Tropicana Field, where they played from 1998-2024.
The Rays are in the AL East division where they compete against the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, and Boston Red Sox.
