Ryder Cup American Records: Most career points, largest margin of victory, and more

The 2025 Ryder Cup is right around the corner and the biannual golf tournament will take place in New York after Italy hosted in 2023.

2025 marks the 45th Ryder Cup - the U.S. has taken the trophy 25 times while Europe has 15 victories. Europe has won eight of the last 11 however, and the hosting team has won in each of the last five tournaments.

American legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and more have competed in the Ryder Cup, and current superstar Scottie Scheffler will compete in 2025.

The largest victory in Ryder Cup history occurred in 1967 when the USA defeated Great Britain & Ireland 23.5-8.5 in Houston, Texas.

While there have been five Europeans (Peter Butler, Nick Faldo, Costanino Rocca, Howard Clark, and Paul Casey, to achieve a hole-in-one, only one American has done so in a Ryder Cup: Scott Verplank in 2006 at the 14th hole at The K Club in Ireland.
