Puka Nacua's Status for Week 3 in Question

Puka Nacua was added to the Rams' injury report on Friday, just three days before the team's game against the Giants on Monday night - a victory in which Nacua did not play in.

Initially, Nacua was on the injury report with a hip injury, but head coach Sean McVay said the star receiver was dealing with "a little bit of soreness" in his groin area and did not practice on that day.

The focus has shifted to a crucial matchup between two teams that could meet in February: LA travels to Denver to take on the Broncos on Sunday night in Week 3.

Having Nacua for that matchup would, obviously, give the Rams a massive boost against one of the league's best defenses. A Nacua-Patrick Surtain matchup would be a joy to watch, and it would let Davante Adams look to get open against Riley Moss and the other Broncos' corners.

Puka Nacua Injury Update

Nacua seemed to be on the verge of playing Monday night, even partaking in warmups, but he was ruled out about an hour-and-a-half before the game. On Tuesday, McVay said "you're going to err on the side of caution," when discussing soft tissue injuries for skill position players.

With it still being so early in the season, it will be interesting to see the Rams activate their superstar, or wait till Week 4 to make sure his injury is as close to being fully healed as possible. LA chose to play Myles Garrett in Week 1 while he was slightly banged up, and it ended up costing them and Garrett a stint on the IR.

Nacua led the Rams with five catches for 74 yards in his season debut against the Niners in Australia. Eyes will be on the Rams' daily practice injury report in preparation for Denver.
